Level of Experience
We cater for any level of riding experience. What’s your skill level?
Beginner Rider: You’ve either never ridden or may have had a few lessons. We will teach you the basic aids to be able to walk out with the guide. In our book, also known as a Tenderfoot Rider.
Intermediate Rider: Starting to learn the ropes, but lacks confidence. You have been on a horse before and you’ve mastered the basic aids in walk and trot and you’re confident on a well-schooled horse in walk and rising trot (posting).
Accomplished Rider: You have some experience or have taken a few lessons. You are able to ride comfortably in the open at walk, trot and short stretches of slow canter.
Experienced Rider: You ride well. You’re a secure and confident rider on a well-schooled horse at all paces including a fast canter in open country. You’re happy to ride for several hours and may have some jumping experience.
